Our Junior Firefighters are young citizens from our community both male and female between the ages of 14 and 18 that are interested in becoming regular firefighters or EMS personnel. The Junior Firefighters train with the regular fire department and participate in all fire ground activities allowed under the Pa child labor laws. Currently we have 2 junior firefighters that are state certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT). We have several that have either taken Firefighter Essentials or is currently enrolled. We also have Junior firefighters that are trained in gas well and propane emergencies, wildland firefighting, STAT Medevac Helicopter Landing Zone set up and also CPR/First Aid Certified.
