Springboro VFD

       At Approximately 12:00 p.m. on December, 23rd 2008 Springboro VFD was dispatched for a tanker rollover. Springboro Units 21-7 and 21-1 responded to the scene.

Upon arrival to the scene crews found a large tanker that was hauling diesel fuel overturned into a ditch. Hazmat department 42 was then called to the scene to assist. Approximately 3 hours later crews were joined by 2 wreckers that were waiting to remove the overturned truck. After a long 6 hour wait crews were joined by personel from the company of the overturned who brought another tanker in order for crews to transfer all the diesel fuel from the overturned truck into the other awaiting tanker. Crews remained on scene until approximately 11:00 that night. Crews were on scene for a total of approximately 11 and a half hours. Units that assisted at the scene were 21-7, 21-1, and Hazmat Dept. 42. Thank you to all that assisted at the scene.
